Lake Gwelup

Nestled in the middle of suburban Perth is Lake Gwelup, which has much to offer. Take a break at the Lake Gwelup boardwalk, which is located to the south of the lake and features a birding platform where you may sit and view the lake's diverse birds. From October to December, rainbow bee-eaters migrate to the reserve from northern Australia and Indonesia to lay their eggs.

Enjoy a 1.4-kilometer stroll through native bushland to the north of the reserve, where flowering wildflowers give a splash of colour in the spring.

See the lake in all its glory below.
